You can't do it right now because the update servers are down, but when they come back up, you can update normally. I would not use any external tools to do it as the safest way to update is through the official updater directly.

As long as you don't have Priiloader blocking updates, you can update right through the system settings. If you have Priiloader and it's blocking updates, you'll have to hold reset while turning on the console, go to menu hacks, and turn off the block updates setting. Jun 27, 2010. #9. Sorry to bring this thread back up again but I used the v4.2 safe installer and I forgot to do a nand backup before starting the update. Now the updater finished everything except for installing the system menu and it was like this for about 30 minutes: "Attempting to Install system menu 4.2 v481".
